Taman Makam Pahlawan Kalibata

Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (Taman Makam Pahlawan Kalibata, TMP Kalibata), in Kalibata, South Jakarta is a military cemetery in Indonesia. More than 7000 people who are military casualties and veterans from Indonesian War of Independence were buried. Japanese veterans of Imperial Japanese Army who stayed in Dutch colony after World War II of their own free will and fought for the Indonesian independence were also buried.

Dirgantara Monument

Since Dirgantara Monument located at Gatot Subroto Road, Pancoran district, South Jakarta, so most people called as Pancoran statue. The statue have 11 meters tall, made from 11 tons bronze and is divided into pieces, each piece weighing one ton, with 27 meters high arc shape concrete base.

Designed by Edhi Sunarso, contructed by Keluarga Arca artists from Yogyakarta, and supervised by President Soekarno himself, the statue finished in two year (1964-1965). This statue built near National Air Force Office (Wisma Aldiron) in the South, headed to the North with its hand pointed to former Kemayoran International Airport (now became an exhibition and apartemens area). Representing the power of Indonesian air force, symbolizing by a strong and brave man that flying and exploring the sky, and eager to serve the country. President Soekarno want to show to the world if Indonesia as a big archipelago country is protected by the strong air forces and serviced by solid air transportations that connecting each islands in Indonesia.

Selamat Datang (Welcome) Statue

This Patung Selamat Datang or Welcome Statue built heading to the North welcoming the athletes from foreign countries that participating in Asian Games IV 1962, located in the front of Hotel Indonesia building in the area that called Bundaran HI or Hotel Indonesia roundabout. This statue stands approximately 30 meters from the ground with a couple of youngsters on top, a man and a woman waving their arms, and the woman also holding up a bouquet of flowers.
This bronze sculpture was commissioned by president Sukarno to welcome the athletes participating in the 1962 Asian Games, created by Edhi Sunarso, designed by Henk Ngantung, a former governor of Jakarta.

Monumen Nasional (MONAS)

The National Monument (Monumen Nasional (Monas)) is a 422 ft (128.7 m) tower in the center of Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia's independence. Construction began in 1961 under the direction of President Sukarno and the monument was opened to the public in 1975. It is topped by a flame covered with gold foil. Monas is known as icon for Jakarta.
